DIGICONTROL CoreX
Energy-efficient building operation is the result of many factors: a perfectly insulated building envelope, professional energy management and a smart building management system with technical system and energy monitoring. But the essential component for energy efficiency is hidden in the energy and technology control centers: CoreX, the software and intelligent heart of DIGICONTROL building automation, which pulsates in the controllers of our automation focal points.

With intelligent programming, complex control algorithms, in-depth expert knowledge and the support of AI-based logic, CoreX ensures that energy is used optimally and energy consumption is reduced overall. This is how CoreX realizes the most efficient building operation without restrictions - day after day.
The basis for energy efficiency: intelligent automation software
Building management systems with technical monitoring and operational optimization as well as tools for analysing building and energy data are of great importance for sustainable, optimal building operation. The WEBVISION 5 management software is used to maintain and increase energy efficiency - CoreX creates it, because the DIGICONTROL software in the controllers of the automation equipment realizes the active implementation of tailor-made automation and integration solutions, energy efficient I&C technology and the optimal interaction of technical systems, rooms and integrated building technology.
CoreX – the intelligence at the heart of building automation
Developed with over 45 years of building automation expertise, CoreX includes the most efficient and functional software macros that meet the increasingly complex and diverse system technology of modern buildings as well as operators' growing demands for efficiency and comfort. Pre-programmed software macros for implementing current standards and regulations (VDI 3814, DIN EN 16484, GEG) and, in addition, for the most efficient automation of various combinations of energy generators, HVAC systems, rooms, and integrated building services engineering (TGA) into a holistically functioning network using innovative function macros and AI logic, for example:
- Energy-optimized air treatment in air conditioning systems (patented process and winner of the TGA Award: DIGICONTROL Economizer)
- Compensation for inadequate hydraulics (DIGICONTROL Hydromizer)
- Predictive control strategies using weather forecast data (DIGICONTROL Meteomizer)
- Demand-driven interaction of networked systems and rooms
- Advanced Room automation with intelligent presence detection, adaptive control algorithms, and switchless window monitoring
- Personalized room comfort with automatic climate and lighting
- Energy-dynamic blind control (DIGICONTROL Lumenizer)
Parameterizing the software macros and linking them to the peripherals of the controllers is part of the digitized production process with WEBPROJECT (planning and project planning) and the iBASuite.Builder (configuration of the automation equipment). This ensures that the building automation system, the building automation IT network, the plants, the rooms, the sensors and actuators as well as the automation focal points and control cabinets are realized from a single source.

Ready for the next milestone: Building Management Services
Along with the further development of digital services, the system and room automation software will also be moved to the cloud, at least in part. The intelligent part, the advanced automation software, will then merge with the other digital services to form the digital Building Management Service. Only the basic automation software will remain on site to implement communication and the basic links and applications in the smart building controller.
The separation of software and hardware offers considerable advantages for all parties involved: modern communication technologies (IoT) can bring additional added value to the building, as digital twins, AI-supported simulations and optimizations take place in the cloud. ☝️ A new field of activity that will change the building automation world of tomorrow. With the further development of CoreX, WEBVISION 5 and WEBPROJECT, we are actively shaping this change.
